When my son, Owen, turned seven, he made one thing clear—he was ready for a “big kid” room that matched his love for the Philadelphia sports. Gone were the days of his toddler-themed decor (see that project here); he wanted a space that felt fresh, fun, and full of his favorite football team’s spirit. So, we set out to give his room a complete makeover, from painting the walls in team colors to adding Eagles-inspired bedding, wall art, and more. If you’re looking for inspiration for a sports-themed bedroom, follow along as I share how we tackled this transformation!
And stay tuned for a baseball sports-themed bedroom reveal for Anthony!

To kick off the makeover, we chose a bold yet stylish color palette inspired by the Eagles—midnight green, tan, charcoal grey/black, and white. Painting one accent wall in deep Eagles green made an instant impact, while neutral walls kept the room feeling balanced.
The bunk beds are from my husbands childhood. But they’re super high quality so I painted them to look similar to this Pottery Barn Set.
Seeing Owen’s excitement as he stepped into his newly designed Philadelphia Eagles room made every effort worth it. The room now truly reflects his personality and passion for sports while providing a functional, organized space for sleep, play, and schoolwork.
