  • Seven of these are in my house right now. The eighth I'm still drooling over. 🏠 Prime Big Deal Days ends tonight, so here's my short list of home finds that are worth it. The bubble chandelier is what made my office feel finished. •The picture light makes $20 art look collected. •The battery sconces went up with no electrician and no wiring. They run on a remote. •The cane shoe cabinet hides every pair by the front door. •The Govee lights stay up all year, so nobody's on a ladder in December. •The warming tray keeps dinner hot until everyone sits down. •And that last chandelier?   • This wall had nothing going on. 🏠 I wanted sconces here for years, but hardwiring meant an electrician, cut drywall and a bill I wasn’t paying. So I skipped the wiring. These battery operated wall sconces went up in about 20 minutes. The brass finish looks like it came from a lighting showroom. The rechargeable bulbs run on a remote. The dimmer takes them from bright to that warm evening glow. No cords running down the wall. Hardwired sconces would have cost us hundreds.   • I got tired of rotting pumpkins and mums that were crispy by week two, so this year I went all faux. Nobody walking by can tell. Why I’m never going back: 🎃 No rotting, no squirrels, no mess 🎃 Nothing to water 🎃 It all comes back out next fall The trick to making faux look real: group in odd numbers and vary the heights. Three pumpkins stacked, mums on either side, a lantern down low, and the witch’s broomstick by the door for a little Halloween wink. Twenty minutes, start to finish. And it carries straight through Thanksgiving. Just pull the broomstick on November 1st.
