About Me

Hi, my name is Kim and I am a Midwest native nestled in on the East Coast.  This is a creative outlet for me to share my thoughts on my loves in life; family, fashion, food and motherhood.   I hope this blog will inspire and make your day a little bit brighter!

In 2008 I took a leap of faith and moved to the East Coast.  I knew no one.  It was an extremely scary and exciting time, but through that experience I grew tremendously. I completed my MBA in Sustainable Design, met my adoring husband, got married and now have two beautiful boys.  It didn’t happen that quickly or seamlessly, but everything I have endured along the way has gotten me to this point in life, which I am extremely thankful for.

Shortly after my second baby was born, I returned back to corporate America, thinking I could switch hats effortlessly and pick up where I left off.  I had been at the top of my game and my identity was a hardworking, career-driven mom and woman.  But shortly after I returned, my life became overwhelmingly chaotic and I was in an anxiety-induced survival mode to keep up with the working mom lifestyle. I was an emotional vacuum and felt as if I was drowning in all aspects of my life.

As time went on, I desperately craved additional time with my boys and more creative freedom.  At this stage in my life, I’d become no stranger to leaps of faith so I decided to take hold of the reigns and reroute my path. It was time to jump again and give up the security blankets that I’d become so accustomed to over the past 5 years.  I knew I wanted to be home with my boys so I needed to make a new path for myself to make that happen.  Only this time, instead of fearing the leap of faith, I decided to enjoy the ride. Thanks for visiting and I hope you’ll stay a while!
